How a model is reborn

Over the past few months, we have been busy at the Baumgartner Gallery in Mendrisio setting up a reconstruction of Rothenburg station (Canton Lucerne) in the basement.

It is a large model railway station, about 28 metres long, created by the 'Historischer Modellbahnhof Rothenburg' association.

We have not yet finished the reconstruction and plan to open it next spring, but we can give you a preview.

Here is the timelapse showing, in just over a minute, the long days of patient work of our model railway workers.
